What products or services do you offer?

We offer commercial and residential aquarium maintenance and consulting services for all sizes of aquariums. We design and install life support systems and exhibits for residential and commercial applications. We also offer live aquatic transportation to zoos and aquariums.

 

What inspired you to become entrepreneurs?

Having worked for so many small businesses and having had bad experiences as employees, we really wanted to create a great work environment for our staff.

 

What was the proudest moment of your entrepreneurial career?

When we had the opportunity to design and install the stingray exhibit at the Assiniboine Park Zoo.

What tools do you use the most in your work?

Perseverance and determination.

 

How did you get the idea to start your business?

We worked for a local fish store and saw that we could bring more to the industry. We wanted to bring our saltwater knowledge to the Prairies by opening a store where we could offer a wonderful experience and an ongoing relationship with our customers.

 

 

What is the most important lesson you have learned in your entrepreneurial career?

Times can be difficult and challenging. It is a continuous journey and a constant learning experience. As the saying goes, You will have many rainy days, but look forward to the time when the sun breaks through the clouds and take the time to enjoy it.

 

How do you define success in your work?

For us, success means having the respect of others in the industry because we are ecologically and environmentally conscious and knowledgeable in our field.

 

What is your biggest fear and what do you do to deal with this fear?

Our biggest fear is that we won’t succeed. To deal with this, we keep pushing, striving, and working hard.

 

Where are you originally from and why did you choose to start your business in Winnipeg, Manitoba?

We were born and raised here in Winnipeg. And we started our business here because we wanted to bring a piece of the ocean and our knowledge of saltwater to the Prairies.
