New products from the “sash guy”

Only a few more days before Festival du Voyageur kicks off. Étchiboy will be there with lots of new products!

Owner Miguel Vielfaure and his team are putting the finishing touches on their colourful display for the Souvenir Tent at Voyageur Park.

Étchiboy – which means “Eh, little boy” in Michif – will be offering festivalgoers a wide range of products from the Métis culture and fur-trade era. With many new items, including chess sets representing the Battle of Batoche, Canadian animal puppets (bison, polar bear, moose, beaver…), arrowhead sash placemats, wooden spoons with stippled Métis motifs, pencil cases and leather purses, there is truly something for everyone.

This year, all Festival merchandise will be sold by Étchiboy, including the official Festival du Voyageur sashes that the Manitoba company has been making for several years.

In an interview with Envol FM radio, Étchiboy’s Miguel Vielfaure talked about the new Festival director’s “long-term vision” and praised the efforts made each year to enhance activities and our Festival experience.

Souvenir Tent –  Look for tent #18 on the Voyageur Park map. It’s on your right by the Park entrance.
