The CDEM supports Manitoba’s Francophone and bilingual communities in response to the COVID-19 pandemic

Our local communities are experiencing an unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic crisis and a further economic downturn. They need help.

In response, the CDEM is taking concrete action by proposing a map of services and initiatives to accompany, serve and promote Manitoba’s Francophone and bilingual communities in and through this difficult time.

The AMBM encourages both our bilingual municipalities and their community development corporations (CDCs), as well as entrepreneurs, job seekers, and stakeholder partners in our local communities to share and benefit from CDEM’s support measures.

The CDEM team is ready to help entrepreneurs, job seekers, and individuals in Manitoba’s bilingual municipalities and Francophone communities navigate the system and access the many federal support programs for which they are eligible.

Note that the CDEM does not administer these federal support programs.

This information will provide a snapshot of the economic situation in our local communities, and thus be a crucial source of information to share with public decision-makers who are working to strengthen and improve support programs related to COVID-19.
