Rural Tourism Assets Inventory

CDEM commissioned Ohana Writing Services to undertake a tourism asset inventory of identified rural communities in Manitoba in the Summer and Fall of 2019.

A tourism asset inventory template was created utilizing references from the Manitoba Tourism Education Coucil template, the Medicine Hat Tourism Asset Inventory Template, and Tourism BC Template.

The template was utilized for each community visit and was standardized to capture common categories in the different community during the field visits and for reporting purposes.

The exercise revealed the extent of tourism development opportunities in our regions. The workbook is available online.
