As part of its employability programs, CDEM offers free workshops to newcomers to help them successfully integrate into Canada.

CDEM counsellors provide these participants from various backgrounds with several tools, interview techniques and other tips on how to find a job. Participants are trained and equipped to better understand the Canadian labour market and the expectations of employers in Manitoba.

Striking testimonies

“It was an interesting training for me because it allowed me to meet new people, to discover the Canadian labor market. I got advice from the various counsellors about our introduction to the professional world, our integration, and the means of looking for a job. We’ve taken a lot of notes and we’re going to apply them.”Meriam Lamrini, workshop participant.

“CDEM helped me get my first job right away! This workshop helped me identify my specialized skills, how to position myself and speak during an interview. That same evening, I took the exam and got my first job! Psychologically, professionally and humanly, CDEM is the best possible address for newcomers”Idrissa Fall, workshop participant
